Highlighted Summer Anime

Back on topic, we’ve seen some highlights, an some highly let downs. Some series we’ve been anticipating for so long, only to be crushingly disappointed, by a series of important scene skips, ab rushed animation. “Cough, Wiseman Grandchild, Cough.” Though I can get sidetracked by slandering each series one by one, I’ll like to point out a few Summer series that I’ve been personally was invested in since I read the Manga/LN.

  • Are You Lost?
Genre: Seinen

A 12 Minute Series, showing 4 High School girls stranded on a deserted Island, because of a plane crash. This comedy, make light of the serious disaster they face. Since one of the girls been trained by her father to survive such situations, because why not, she teaches the girls how to hunt, build traps, an create a allergy test, even how to stay hydrated. Even if means drinking each other pee.

  • Dr. Stone
Genre: Science Fiction

This series is as original as it gets in a sea of series that’s repeating the cliché. Nowadays almost everything has something in common in terms of where the story is going. Dr. Stone takes originality to a new level, where we see a world turned to stone. In this 24 Episode Series, we see Senku and Taiju rebuild civilization. As they battle Tsukasa, and his Empire of Might. Reminds me of Naruto with Senju vs Uchiha, with Empire of Might vs Kingdom of Science.

  • Fire Force
Genre: Dark Fantasy

Ever seen a human spontaneous combust, in this series we see a Special Fire Brigade battle Living Infernos. This Brigade has the ability to manipulate fire at will, but we have Shinra, a youth who could also ignite his feet at will. Of course in this phenomenon there is always a inside faction that is creating these infernals at will. Shinra tries to find the culprit who killed his family in a fire.

  • If It’s For My Daughter, I’ll Defeat Even a Demon Lord
Genre: Fantasy

One of my personal favorites, that I’ve been anticipating all year. It’s something about these kinda series that really have me deep into every moment. We have Dale, a Highly Skilled adventurer, probably the strongest in the country. While on a quest, he finds a Devil Girl name Latina close to death. Unable to leave her alone, he decides to become her adoptive father.

  • Maou-sama, Retry
Genre: Isekai

Whats a season full of Isekai series without one with a Demon Lord. Though this isn’t what you’ll naturally expect from a Demon Lord Isekai, but it’s still a interesting anime to watch compared to others. Akira a game developer get’s transported in a game he manages. His character labelled Demon Lord, he becomes it’s embodiment. Along his travels he meets a girl that looks vividly familiar to Rem from Re:Zero. Series just full of misunderstandings surrounding our new Demon Lord.

  • Isekai Cheat Magician
Genre: Isekai

We’re filled with Isekai series, an by it’s bland name it’s no exception. 2 High School students get transported to a magical land, both with exceptional magic capacity. Yes another overpowered series. Which I honestly don’t entirely mind. With monsters, dwarves, elves, an all types of magical creatures, we follow these two new adventures as they travel throughout this unknown land.

  • Danmachi
Genre: Fantasy

I’ve been anticipating this sequel for some time now. With the first few episodes living up to the hype. A story where Gods came from Heaven to find some excitement. Limiting their divine power, while offering mortals to fight monsters in a form of a dungeon. Season starts as Bell made a name for himself. Other adventures begin to become dissatisfied. We begin as The Apollo Famila starts to target him. And what’s a story with Apollo without his usual debaucher.

  • Lord El-Molloi
Genre: Fantasy

If your a fan of Fate/Stay series than this anime is a must. If your tired of the Emiya storyline, this series follow Waver Velvet, who fought side by side with the King of Conquerors- Ishkandar- during the 4th grail war. He eventually changes his name to Lord El-Molloi II, an challenges mysterious cases in the Clocktower. This anime is about his cases, as the mecca of all mages.

  • Magical Sempai
Genre: Comedy

A series I wish had a longer duration time. A pure ecchi comedy through and through. We get a cute, and clumsy sempai who has some intense stage fright. She eventually ends up dragging, an forcefully creating a magic club with random members. This gag anime, shows us a way of how old style magic tricks could end up failing in a erotic way.

  • A Certain Scientific Accelerator
Genre: Fantasy

A spin off for those whose a fan of A Certain Magical Index. If your like me than you believe Accelerator should’ve been the Mc originally. So for him to finally get his series focusing on him is satisfying. We take place after he rescues Last Order, and take a bullet to the head. For those who saw the recently new season of Index, if it felt like a huge chunk of information was missing, this series will cover it. We’ll be getting a new Railgun Season Soon.

  • Do You Love Your Mom And Her Two Hit Multi Target Attack
Genre: Isekai

How would you feel if your mother came along on your journey, and she was overpowered, while you were just average. In our Summer Season of Isekai, we have a series that’s taken over our Facebook. If I had a dollar for every pfp with this mom picture, I would be rich. “Not Joking”. Masato gets a random survey, which ends up being a government testing ground to introduce Nerve Gear. He ends up being transported to a fantasy land of a game. Just one trade off, his doting mother Mamako comes along. Viewers are already treating her like the Secone Coming or Kirito. This comedy Isekai shows us what would happen, if your mother came along with you on your adventure.

  • Machikado Mazoku
Genre: Comedy

Need a series to lighten your mood. Than Machikado is what your looking for. This anime is pure comedic, from start to finish. They turned a Magical Girl series, that’s usually dark an grim, an made it comedic. One day Yuko Yoshida wakes up with horns and a tail, and learns that in order to cure her family from poverty curse. She has to murder a Magical Girl, an smear her blood for their deity. Doesnt help that Yuko gets a F in the brains department.

  • Teasing Master Takagi-san

As neutral as I am, I still generally have my favorites. So when I found out Karakai Jouzu was getting a second season I was ecstatic. This anime is as wholesome as it gets. Features Takagi who enjoys teasing her classmate, Nishikata who shows his embarrassment more than he would like to. With his constant failed attempts to tease her back. Throughout the second season you start to see a intimate growth between the two.

  • From Common Place To World’s Strongest
Genre: Isekai

This series made huge waves with it’s manga, so you can definitely understand the intense criticism this series get. Some either despise it, or others hate it. Nonetheless it’s not being well received online. Hajime your average otaku, (how many people knew he was an otaku) an his entire class, including his teacher end up being transported to another world. While they all received God-like powers, he receives the title synergist. After getting his arm devoured he goes for Kaneki Mode, an start eating everything in site. Even go full psycho, and his hair turns white. Must mean your personality does a full 180. Despite this the anime has gone full skip mode to rush the series ahead.

  • Hensuki: Are You Willing To Fall in Love With a Pervert?
Genre: Comedy

What do you get when you put a Fujo, Yandere, Masochist, Sadist, and someone with a Smell Fetish? You get Hensuki (Kawaikereba). Keiki, a Highschool Student receives his first Love Letter, an with it, his first pair of women underwear attached to it. An each possible girl has a unique personality. An extremely unique personality, from wishing to become his dog, to shoving freshly worn panties down his throat. What could go wrong?

  • Joshikoshi no Mudazukai
Genre: Comedy

At the beginning of the series, you’ll get the Asobi Asobase sort of feel. 3 ridiculous teenage girls thriving through Highschool. Although it falls short on the comedy side, doesn’t make it any less funny.

  • How Heavy Is The Dumbbell You Lift?
Genre: Comedy

What’s better than seeing the women while hitting the gym? Seeing anime school girls hit the gym. Yes, in terms of originality, this series is in a league of it’s own. The bottomless pit Hibiki is just another Highschool Girl. Once she realized her clothes are getting tight, she decides it’s time to hit the gym. She meet’s her soon to be long term friend Akemi, who just so happens to also have a muscle fetish. A recipe for disaster starts as Hibiki begin her journey for a great body.

  • O Maidens In Your Savage Season
Genre: Shounen

This series has one of the most highlighted first episodes. I have never seen a series where a guy get caught wanking in his own room. Talk about invasion of privacy, she even takes her porn. Following the love life of the literature club, these girls heads are full of one thing only, sex. An each girl has a whirlwind of new emotions their about to experience.

  • The One’s Within
Genre: Isekai

Here we have my favorite anime on this list, an for good reasons, an I don’t mean because it’s a Isekai Series. But because each episode has been as intense as the other. A group of popular live streamers are abducted, an forced to participate in the ultimate live stream. We have Btoom! Meet’s Danganronpa, with less killing. With a beautiful friendships building, to a long term stalker coming to light.
